Zee Senior

Zee is a versatile artist who primarily enjoys oil painting. Recently, Zee’s art practice has shifted to include the use of acrylics. Drawing from personal experiences, Zee suggests that mental illness is a significant source of inspiration in her work and aims to create works that are thought provoking. 

In conversation, Zee expresses that each artwork uniquely explores a different aspect of mental illness and how it can affect someone. Specifically, Zee’s portrait work explores mental illnesses’ invisible wounds by representing them physically, and often including futuristic elements. Zee also finds inspiration from other artists such as Goldie and Van Gogh, as well as from conversations that Zee has with others.
