Graham Lalor
Graham Lalor (Ngāpuhi) is an artist who enjoys exploring a variety of mediums, particularly woodcut and painting. He is fond of carving techniques such as creating defined lines and experimenting with overlap in the medium with paint.
Graham screen prints on a mixture of materials and explores Māori patterns and designs in his work. Graham has expanded his practice to include pottery where he brings his printmaking skills and integrates elements such as stencils into his clay designs.
Alongside woodcutting and pottery, Graham is also proficient in hand printing, stencilling, and tie-dying. Themes in Graham’s work include Māori myth and legend, pop culture, medieval life and steampunk.
