Graham Adams

Making use of library art books as a source of inspiration, Graham has produced a large body of work through reinterpreting works by mainly New Zealand artists, including Rita Angus, Bill Sutton and Graham Sydney.

Graham’s preferred medium is pastel on black paper where he applies broad, expansive fields of colour of his favourite vibrant and bold blues, pinks and yellows. This colour palette has been the main vehicle through which Graham has found his own very distinctive voice.
