For Andrea, painting is deeply expressive, personal, and healing.  As a child Andrea fondly remembers playing with paint at school, making a big mess and thinking that she wanted to be a painter when she grew up. Andrea returned to painting as an adult and continues her passion in visual arts. She has explored varied mediums including watercolour, oil paint and oil sticks.  Nature, particularly flowers, is a key source of inspiration for Andrea. She finds joy in picking fresh flowers and capturing their beauty in her art. Bold colour, rich texture, and abstract form also feature strongly in her art.  Andrea also composes music which is reflective and melodic, and another deeply expressive outlet for her. 

Andrea has embraced large-scale works using oil sticks, while also exploring the subtle nuance of watercolour. She has recently returned to painting in oils, marking a new chapter in her artistic exploration.
