Kate is an artist working in watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, and drawing with graphite and charcoal. She is interested in portrait and landscape painting, especially those of Mike Staniford and Hashim Akib. She treats her practice as both a calming refuge and a rewarding challenge, always exploring new techniques.

Kate is a lifelong animal lover who has shared her life with dogs and cats, and now a wire-haired fox terrier named Tilly, Kate often paints and draws companion animals, capturing the character of her own pets and those of friends.
